Host a kintsugi class

If you organize a group and have a venue, you can host your own custom kintsugi class! Great for:

Events can be customized to an extent based on your preferences and goals.

Pricing

When you host a custom kintsugi workshop:

  • Pricing ranges from $35-$55/person depending on class/vessel type).
  • There is a minimum total of $180-$250 (dependent on class/vessel type)
  • I offer a select number of At-Cost events for church groups/nonprofits per year. Meaning the organization would just be covering materials cost, there is no teaching fee. Reach out for more details.

Factors that affect pricing include:

  • Travel outside of Utah County (and lodging, if needed)
  • Event type, size, and duration
  • Method taught
  • Vessel type selected
  • Materials used

Examples

If your event is in Utah County, and your per-person cost is $35, and you have 10 participants, the price would be $350.

If your event is in Utah County, and your per-person cost is $35, and you have 4 participants, the price would be $210, because that is the minimum to host a workshop.

Process

  1. First, email me to start the conversation. Even if you aren't sure about details, we can start planning and blocking out dates.
  2. As we figure out what you'd like for your event, I will provide estimates of the cost based on current prices for materials and such. You'll then receive an invoice for a down payment as I start to order supplies.
  3. About 3-4 weeks out: please provide a final count of attendees if you can.
  4. About 1-2 weeks out: you'll receive a second invoice for the remaining balance.
  5. Before the event: please sign the host waiver.

If at any point along the way you have questions or requests, don't hesitate to let me know!

Billing, terms, and payment

Invoices are sent via email which can be paid electronically.

50% is billed up front, and the remaining balance usually about a week before the event (after the participant count is finalized). Because of material and supply costs, payment is required in full before the event.

I accept credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, and a few others.

If you have any questions, let me know and I will be happy to help!

FAQ

What do I need to provide in order for you to come teach kintsugi?

Mainly a venue and participants!

Do you work out payments and waivers with participants?

No; for hosted events, the participants do not know about costs or need to worry about a waiver. I only send invoices to and collect a waiver from the event organizer/host. I leave it up to event organizers to work out their own terms with their group.

What if I don't know how many people will attend?

I understand it can be hard to know an exact count in some cases. I recommend having people RSVP for the class you want to host, and let them know that a count is needed to ensure enough kits for everyone. I sometimes try to carry extras, but I can't guarantee there will be enough if more people attend.
