My workshops consist of a presentation, hands-on demonstration, and time for each participant to practice modernized kintsugi on their own piece.
I adapt my presentations to my audience. Some groups prefer to focus on the universal symbolism of kintsugi—healing, resilience, and embracing our stories—while others enjoy incorporating spiritual reflection. Either direction can offer beautiful symbolism and a powerful experience to tie into your retreat.
Please note a kintsugi workshop typically lasts around 2.5 hours. Each participant will be provided a vessel to practice on, as well as a simple kintsugi mending kit with all necessary materials. If some participants are short on time, this also allows them to finish from home.
